Andrew Dell'Olio
Andrew J. Dell’Olio (Ph.D., Columbia) is Professor of Philosophy at Hope College in Holland, Michigan, where he has served as Department Chair and Director of the program in Asian Studies.
Dr. Dell’Olio’s philosophic interests range from the ancient to the postmodern and from the west to the east, from ethics and the philosophy of religion to the metaphysics of the self. As a practitioner and teacher of tai chi chuan, he is as aware of the way bodily disciplines (including breathing exercises and mindfulness meditation) influence states of mind as he is the way philosophical practice may bring about an embodied peace.
As a certified Philosophical Counselor, Dr. Dell’Olio brings over thirty years of experience teaching the world’s wisdom and spiritual traditions to his work with clients seeking solutions to life’s problems, clarity regarding meaning or values, insight into the self, and an overall enhanced sense of well-being.
