Choosing to work with me, typically means that something in your life is not the way you want it to be. As Goldilocks may have put it, your “just rights” aren’t being met. Something in your life is happening that you don’t want to be happening. Or perhaps, something is happening that you don’t want to be happening. My goal is to help you figure out a way to narrow that gap between the way you want your world to be and the way it currently is.
I am an APPA Certified Philosophical Counselor who also wears the hats of a psychotherapist, Marriage and Family Therapist (CA LMFT #78183) and Board Certified Coach. Having a conversation with me in my role as Philosophical Counselor is not psychotherapy. If your issues would best be served in my role as a therapist, you can reach me through my therapy practice site at https://psychotherapist.coach.
I primarily work in the Socratic tradition and use techniques including the Method of Levels, Clean Language/Symbolic Modeling, Positive Psychology, Buddhist and Process Philosophy. My goal is to work from a perspective of “not knowing” allowing me to work with you without my assumptions and beliefs about what’s best for you getting in the way. Metaphorically, I may act as a wilderness guide helping you navigate difficult terrain and explore your inner landscape, enabling you to make the changes that you need to make as the expert on your life.
A graduate from the Institute of Transpersonal Psychology (Sofia University) in 1996 with a Master’s Degree in Counseling Psychology, I have been working in the field of personal transformation and change for almost three decades.
I look forward to having a meaningful conversation with you!
