Cecil Lunsford
I started Euphoric Services to help people. After teaching philosophy at the college and secondary levels, I have become fully convinced that practical philosophy has the capacity to transform people’s lives. My practice is whole person focused and tends toward a dialogic modality, but I also teach philosophical meditation, engage in bibliotherapy, and art therapy as well. All in a friendly non judgmental package, that is me!
Approaches: Western analytic philosophy, epicurean discourse, humor counseling, constructive thought experiment, and values testing.
Rates: 30 minutes $125, or an hour $250
Potpourri: In addition to being a certified philosophical counselor, I am also an RRCA certified running coach. My motto is “Think well. Run often. Be happy!” There is no secret to life, happiness requires careful rigorous effort and constant vigilance. By becoming aware of values inconsistency, and addressing real moral conflicts we can clear the barriers that prevent us from experiencing the life that is worth living. I am a father and teacher. I have been a project manager for architecture and engineering firms, a humanities teacher, a math teacher, a touring musician, a bar owner, and a promoter. I read several languages and play a litany of instruments. My life is full of interesting twists and turns but ultimately philosophy is the practical thread that has tied these disparate experiences together into a cohesive narrative self. If you want to do more with your life, just change some small things, or just want to know something tomorrow that you didn’t know today, reach out and schedule a session. I would love to discuss your philosophical problem with you and help you find the best of your possible worlds.
